Johnny McEvoy is a renowned Irish folk singer and songwriter, famous for his distinctively emotive voice and emotive performances. Born in 1945 in Banagher, Co. Offaly, McEvoy first began playing music as a teenager, and soon established himself as a popular performer on the Irish music scene. Throughout his career, he has released numerous hit albums and singles, including classics like “Muirshin Durkin” and “The Boston Burglar”.

McEvoy’s music often explores themes of love, loss, and the struggles of everyday life, and his songs have been covered by many other popular artists. In addition to his music, McEvoy is also known for his charity work, and has been involved with organizations such as the Irish Hospice Foundation and Children in Crossfire.
